ABSTRACT:
A 3 page executive summary of a report concluding that a hospital needs to replace obsolete operating room lights. Reasons for replacement includes insignificant cost differential in replacing bulbs vs replacing the entire system; better patient outcome; better working conditions; possible reduced malpractice insurance premium rates for the hospital; and greater productivity.
