ABSTRACT:
A 6 page paper comparing Constitutional Framers’ original intent with expression of separation of powers today. Devising a method by which abuse of power would be difficult – if not impossible – was not an easy task, but the Framers developed a framework within which each branch of government would be accountable to others, as well as the people of the country. The purpose here is to examine how the relationships between the three branches of government have changed over the years and how the Framers’ system of checks and balances affects government function today.
