ABSTRACT:
A 6 page overview of the reign of King Louis XIV of France. This paper recaps some of the social conditions of the time and assesses them in regard to Louis XIV’s internal and international policies. Indeed, Louis XIV’s policies would extend not only to France itself but would, in fact, shape the face of Europe as a whole in regard to geographic distribution, international affairs, and in particular the political alliances which various countries would be forced to form.
