ABSTRACT:
The writer looks at Scottish law from a number of perspectives. The first section examines the foundation of Scots law and its’ origins, the second section looks at the enforcement of promises and the concept of the unilateral promise and compares this to the approaches seen under Islamic law. The final section looks at the position of corporate identities under Scots and Sharia law. Seven sources are cited in this sixteen page paper.
