This 14 page paper begins by reporting and discussing the many definitions of 'learning community.' The paper then discusses how to develop a learning community in a hospital using a real case study as an example. The processes the hospital used are discussed, explained and related to the common elements of a learning community. The writer discusses the importance of the nurse executive's role in such a process by discussing the roles of a nurse executive.
