ABSTRACT:
A 5 page research paper that addresses factors affecting forested land valuation from an ecological and land-use perspective. Forest-use valuation is rapidly becoming more complicated, as is the world economy in general (Beuter and Alig, 2004). This is because the processes involved in valuation concern conflicts arising from "land-use zoning, environmental law, forest practices regulation, site-specific environmental considerations and recognition of forest resource values other than timber" (Beuter and Alig, 2004, p. 4).
