ABSTRACT:
This 20 page paper looks at four questions asked by the student regarding the building of the M6 toll road in the UK. The first question considers how roods such as this will benefit companies and help realised economies of scale. The second looks at how the road building could be funded and if the opinion that a higher level of borrowing rather than using equity may create more profit as the cost of the debt is lower than the cost of equity. The impact on the shareholders is considered. The third question considers how technology may be introduced to company where there is already resistance, looking at how change man be managed and employees motivates. The last part of the paper considers the impact of the road on stakeholders and the role of innovation. The bibliography cites 2 sources.
