10 pages in length. Muslim women under the Taliban control have long suffered at the hands of their male counterparts. Whether the torture culminates as emotional, physical or both, the patriarchal influence has been a strong power upon the very essence of being female. The lives of Muslim women under the Taliban control have been designed by men under religious and social assumptions which have served to guide every part of their lives, including sexuality, mannerisms, physical appearance and education, along with their role in society. These designed programs serve not only to control the female gender, but also to block entrance for women in many areas so that they remain chained to the patriarchal influence.
