ABSTRACT:
This 27 page paper looks the different factors that need to be considered when writing a health and safety document for a company. The paper includes examines of different perspectives on morals considering if the legal requirements are sufficient or if businesses should have a moral obligation in addition to the legal foundation. The legal framework is also examined, looking at English legislation, such as the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and the need to consider potential tort actions. The last part of the paper looks at how other companies have formulated and implemented health and safety polices. The bibliography cites 21 sources.
