ABSTRACT:
This 24 page paper looks at two key concepts in management and workplace relationships; trust and empathy (with the focus on empathy) and the ability to develop others. The paper is written in 5 parts. The first part of the paper defines the terms and looks at why they are important and how they manifest, the second part of the paper looks at scenarios that may arise where skills in these areas will be pertinent. The third part of the paper uses four self assessment tools, such as the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and the scores a student may have gained, the fourth part of the paper is an outline for a personal development plan and the paper then ends with a conclusion. The bibliography cites 20 sources.
